I have over 30 years’ experience as a creative director and copywriter, working for some of the leading advertising agencies in Canada, including Cossette, Ogilvy & Mather, Dentsu and Bensimon Byrne. I have been working freelance for the past 10 years.
I began my career working for disciples of Bill Bernbach, and have become a devout follower myself. I believe that advertising can and should be intelligent, speaking not to the lowest common denominator, but the highest.
I have won most major awards, including One Show Pencils, Cannes Lions, Marketing and Art Directors’ Club of Canada Golds, and Bessies and have served on the juries of The Bessies, The Extras and the Marketing Awards. My work has appeared in university textbooks and Communication Arts Magazine, and I have contributed articles to Marketing and Strategy magazines.
