If life is pie-chart, I’ve spent a quarter in Hong Kong, a quarter in England and the biggest slice in Canada.
After almost thirty years in design, I still have my own hair! I began my career working with the British Broadcasting Corporation, Granada Television, and Royal Television Hong Kong, and developed packaging with David Taylor Design Associates in London, before coming to Toronto in the late 80’s. Since then, I’ve driven many clients crazy – creating brand identities and defining their brands.
My creative work spans clients such as Queen’s University, Johnson & Johnson US, Royal LePage, Imperial Oil and Peller Estates Icewine, and examples have been published in design journals globally from Japan to North America.
I believe great design is a balance between crazy & logic – taking risks while respecting the unique culture of each brand. There’s a special kung-fu in figuring out exactly what moves needs to be done for each project – asking great questions up-front, to work smarter, faster, and better. My motto is work should be mixed with pleasure and should never end.
